31 Days to Simplify—Day 27

Day 27—Create a Haven in Your Home

Home should be the place where we can unwind, relax, rejuvenate and feel comfortable. The  size of your home doesn’t matter. What matters is how we treat our homes and how we treat ourselves.   Removing clutter and excess reduces the amount of work needed to keep our homes clean and comfortable. Which means that we will spend less time cleaning and more time relaxing.

31 Days to Simplify—Day 26

Day 26—Expect Good Things

Good things really do happen.  It isn’t just about a positive attitude, although attitude plays an important part in what happens in life.

The closer we get to where we need to be, whether it is in simplifying our lives or clearing clutter from our homes we can expect good things to happen.  There is something about removing distractions (clutter) that opens up possibilities and miracles do happen.

31 Days to Simplify—Day 25

Day 25—Let Your Dreams Become Reality

Everybody dreams impossible dreams, crazy dreams and big and small dreams. Dreams are not about going places we don’t need to go. Dreams are important because they challenge us to take leaps of faith so we can live the life we desire.  This is why it is so important to let go of all the stuff, clutter, distractions, things that easily detour us from making our dreams become reality. What can we let go of to realize our dreams?

Living above the chaos of life, seeking out the higher callings that are on our lives and letting go of the clutter is what dreaming is all about. It really is about simplifying so we can be who we are called to be and live the life we are called to live.

My leap of faith dream is to license my artwork and photography and write inspirational books.  This journey has me headed toward a new reality.  I am expecting more from life and my expectations have me pressing my face against the window of life and telling all the doubts and fears to disappear.

31 Days to Simplify—Day 24

Day 24—Life is a Journey

Simplifying our lives takes time.  It can be hard to change old habits so don’t set yourself up for defeat by expecting instant success.   Clearing out clutter, changing old habits, finding new ways and better ways to live will require time.  Enjoy the journey!

31 Days to Simplify—Day 20

Day 20—What are your priorities?

Can you name five things that are the most important commitments or values that you don’t want to lose? Make a list of what is important and how you want to manage those things that are important or necessary for your life.

The next step is to set that in motion. Only commit to what lines up with your priorities. When our actions are in line with our priorities, life is easier.

31 Days to Simplify—Day 19

Day 19—Do Something Nice for Yourself

It doesn’t require spending money or asking anyone else for permission. Simple things can replenish your energy and help you make better decisions.

Listen to music, send your laundry out, cook a special meal, read a good book, buy flowers…simple pleasures that bring relaxation and rest for your soul.

31 Days to Simplify—Day 18

Day—18 Don’t quit!

Ok, so in the midst of trying to simplify life things get complicated. The schedule gets out of whack, someone gets sick, the car breaks down and all of the plans to simplify get shelved.  Don’t quit!
